Terms & Conditions

What Publishers Should Do: 
-Link to PRODUCTS from The Well Appointed House 
-Include Banners that we have provided for your use on your websites and blogs. 
-Provide value added product comparisons, product features and incorporate our items into your content in a positive way 
--Use text promoting our products and use your affiliate links to link to us. Do not just write The Well Appointed House or Coupons for The Well Appointed House with no related content. We are now only accepting affiliates actively promoting our products and getting sales the old fashioned way. Coupon sites that just list a link with no active coupons or content will be terminated.

Please note that The Well Appointed House does not stock all inventory. Many items are drop-shipped for us and certain items are custom made to order. Often, an item is on backorder or is not available to the customer at the time we receive an order. Such orders will be cancelled and commissions will not be paid to affiliates. This is the same for items that are returned by customers. Commissions will not be paid for items that are returned.

Incentives Policy: 
Publisher shall not use any incentives including but not limited to cash, points, miles, hard goods or services to prompt or reward the user for clicking on an ad from The Well Appointed House. Affiliate agrees not to create, register, purchase, or obtain, (or attempt to do any of the foregoing) directly or indirectly, any trademark, product mark, trade name, company name, internet domain name, search engine listing, directory listing, meta tag, name that redirects traffic to your site, or other proprietary or commercial right that is identical or confusingly similar (including variations and misspellings) to The Well Appointed House or The Well Appointed Home. Both are registered marks of The Well Appointed House, LLC. Affiliate acknowledges that any such action would be made with the intent to confuse consumers as to the source, location, and sponsorship of The Well Appointed House products, and will constitute infringement of The Well Appointed House. If an affiliate breaches this paragraph, we maintain the right to immediately terminate the affiliate's participation in our Affiliate Program and pursue all other remedies available against the affiliate under contract and law.

Paid Search & Linking Guidelines 
Paid search is forbidden in the affiliate program 
Direct linking using your Pepperjam trackable link is not allowed from any PPC campaigns. 
Affiliates may NOT use our destination URL in the paid advertising links 
Affiliates may not use our destination URLs in any page redirects or masking. 
Affiliates may not use the The Well Appointed House URL as the display URL on any search engines or any URL including wellappointedhouse or wellappointedhome. This includes but is not limited to www.wellappointedhouse.com (http://www.wellappointedhouse.com/) , www.thewellappointedhouse.com (http://www.thewellappointedhouse.com/) , www.wellappointedhome.com (http://www.wellappointedhome.com/) , www.thewellappointedhome.com (http://www.thewellappointedhome.com/) , www.wellappointedlife.com (http://www.wellappointedlife.com/) , www.thewellappointedlife.com (http://www.thewellappointedlife.com/) or language from our blog URL blog.wellappointedhouse.com (http://blog.wellappointedhouse.com/) that could cause confusion. 
Affiliates are forbidden from bidding on any combination of The Well Appointed House of The Well Appointed Home brand terms or publication titles (including misspellings and variations) in all search engines. 
Affiliates may not utilize the terms "Official Store" or "Official Site" in referencing our company. 
Publishers who utilize paid search for internal marketing efforts must follow all of the guidelines previously mentioned as well as the following. 
Ad copy must be generic and cannot mention The Well Appointed House brand or publication titles. Affiliates are permitted only to use links for affiliate offers that are made available through approved creatives included through PepperJam. Affiliates are not permitted to post offers and/or promotions from The Well Appointed House that are not made available through PepperJam. Special offers made through our website, Twitter, Facebook, Tumblr accounts may not be used by affiliates. Only sales, discounts or coupons listed through PepperJam. Hijacking offers/promotions from other sites, emails, print pieces, or other marketing collateral is strictly prohibited. For example, if The Well Appointed House has an offer running through a coupon or shopping site, affiliates may not promote that offer. Affiliates can only promote offers made through PepperJam. Affiliate agrees that it shall not alter, substitute, or modify the content or appearance of The Well Appointed House content in any way, unless written approval is granted by The Well Appointed House. The Well Appointed House logo may not be modified. Affiliate guarantees that it will not use unsolicited commercial email (SPAM) in any way. Participation in The Well Appointed House Affiliate Program includes your unconditional agreement to abide by our strict anti-SPAM policy. The use of SPAM will be cause for immediate termination of Agreement. We reserve the right to terminate an agreement with an Affiliate at any time and for any reason. Violation of the foregoing prohibitions may result in, among other things, the reversal of commissions on orders generated during the violation, the immediate termination of this Agreement and/or the commencement of an action by The Well Appointed House against you seeking, without limitation, injunctive relief and/or recovery of actual, statutory and/or punitive damages. We reserve the right at any time to request that affiliates remove any product photos obtained from The Well Appointed House website. Affiliates may not use copyrighted photos from The Well Appointed House Blog that are deemed to be under copyright protection or owned by Melissa Hawks. Affiliates may only use images that are part of the PepperJam program to drive sales and be paid commissions. Affiliates may not under any circumstances use photos of Melissa Hawks or information about Melissa Hawks in conjunction with The Well Appointed House or The Well Appointed Home taken from the company website or from the internet to attempt to drive sales, to mislead customers, or to be used in any URLs or sales materials. We encourage websites and bloggers to focus on highlighting our products and their benefits and we will offer higher commission structures to websites doing that well and following our guidelines.

USE OF LOGO & BRAND IMAGE 
Affiliate agrees that it shall not alter, substitute, or modify the content or appearance of The Well Appointed House content in any way, unless written approval is granted by The Well Appointed House. The Well Appointed House logo may not be modified. Affiliate guarantees that it will not use unsolicited commercial email (SPAM) in any way. Commission will not be paid to affiliates for any Product purchased through a Special Link by you or on your behalf, including Products you purchase through Special Links for yourself, friends, relatives, or associates (e.g., personal orders, orders for your own use, and orders placed by you for or on behalf of any other person or entity). 
Affiliates may not under any circumstances use photos of Melissa Hawks or information about Melissa Hawks in conjunction with The Well Appointed House or The Well Appointed Home taken from the company website or from the internet to attempt to drive sales, to mislead customers, or to be used in any URLs or sales materials. We encourage websites and bloggers to focus on highlighting our products and their benefits and we will offer higher commission structures to websites doing that well and following our guidelines.
