Program Description

STATE BAGS has your back. And part of that commitment is making a difference in local kids' lives. STATE was created to address the immediate needs of American children living with challenging, and in some cases critical, circumstances. For every STATE bag purchased, STATE hand-delivers a backpack packed with essential tools for success to an American child in need.

Every sale you send does double duty: commission for you, a backpack for a kid who needs one.

Commission: 8% of net sales. Higher rates available for top performers.

How commission is calculated

• Commission is paid on net product revenue. Shipping, taxes, gift card purchases, and any amount covered by a discount or gift card are excluded.
• Returned, cancelled, duplicate, and fraudulent orders are reversed.
• Last click wins. Attribution follows the network's tracking.
• Orders that convert on a discount code you were not issued may be reversed.

Terms and Conditions 1. Promo codes and discounts

• You may only promote discount codes STATE has issued to you in writing, and only at the value, format, and date range we provided.
• Do not create, guess, modify, stack, or extend a code.
• Do not publish codes sourced from anywhere else. That includes our email and SMS campaigns, retail or wholesale accounts, customer service, other partners, coupon aggregators, browser extensions, and deal forums.
• Codes issued to you are for your own audience. Do not syndicate them to coupon databases, deal forums, or code aggregators.
• Do not present an expired or unavailable offer as active.
• Public sitewide sales posted on statebags.com are open to all partners for the duration of the sale.
• Commissions on orders tied to an unauthorized code will be reversed. Knowing or repeat violations end the partnership.

2. Links and tracking

• Direct linking is allowed.
• Do not use redirects, shorteners, or scripts that strip, replace, or overwrite our tracking.
• No cookie stuffing, forced clicks, auto-firing links, iframes, pop-ups, pop-unders, or post-checkout link injection.
• Do not register or operate a domain or handle that could be mistaken for STATE.

3. Paid search and trademark bidding

• Trademark bidding is not allowed. This covers "STATE Bags," "STATEBAGS," misspellings, and brand-plus-modifier terms such as "state bags promo code" or "state bags discount," on every search and shopping platform.
• Do not use our brand terms in ad copy, display URLs, or visible URLs.
• No direct linking from paid ads to statebags.com.
• Add our brand terms as negative keywords in your campaigns.

4. Paid social and amplification

• Running paid media behind STATE content requires written approval before launch.
• Where approved, supply a Meta partnership ad code or TikTok Spark code and keep it active for the full agreed flight.
• Do not run paid social that presents your account as an official STATE channel.

5. Email marketing

Email campaigns are allowed. All partners must be CAN-SPAM compliant and must contact us before sending to receive suppression lists. Any partner that does not reach out first is considered in violation of these terms.

• Sender names and subject lines may not imply the email comes from STATE.
• The promo code rules in Section 1 apply to email in full.

6. Partner types

• Downloadable software partners, toolbars, browser extensions, and adware are not permitted in the program.
• Coupon sites, deal sites, and code aggregators are not permitted in the program.
• Incentivized partners, including cashback, loyalty, and rewards platforms, may join with prior approval and must disclose the incentive to the customer.
• Sub-affiliate networks and traffic resellers require written approval.

7. Content and brand standards

• Use of the STATE logo, product photography, campaign imagery, and event content requires our approval. Approved assets are available on request.
• Represent price, availability, materials, care, warranty, and shipping accurately.
• Do not place STATE links or content alongside adult material, hate speech, violence, illegal activity, or content directed at children as the purchaser.
• Do not present yourself as STATE customer service or collect customer information on our behalf.

8. Disclosure

• Clearly disclose your affiliate relationship in line with FTC guidelines, in the same post or page as the link, visible without clicking or expanding, in plain language.
• Platform labels such as "paid partnership" do not replace a written disclosure where space allows.
• Disclosure compliance is your responsibility. Content flagged by our team must be corrected within 48 hours.

9. AI-generated content

• Do not use AI tools to generate STATE product images, video, or voice, or to create synthetic likenesses of STATE team members, founders, or event participants.
• AI-assisted writing is fine. You remain responsible for the accuracy of every claim, price, and code you publish.

10. Enforcement

We review partner activity regularly. We may reverse commissions, pause an account, or remove a partner for any violation of these terms, with or without notice. Participation in the program means you accept these terms as written, including any updates we publish.

If you are unsure whether something is allowed, ask us first. We would much rather answer a question than reverse a commission.
