Dieser Erfolg ist darauf zurückzuführen, dass das Unternehmen schneller reagieren konnte als die Konkurrenz, wenn es um gutes Design, hochwertige Stoffe und verschiedene Finishs ging. 1979 wurde eine neue Firmenzentrale benötigt und das Label zog um in das "Pepe House" in den Nordwesten Londons mit 25.000 Quadratmetern Büro- und Lagerfläche.

The origin goes back to a small flea market stall in London's Portobello Road Market, when Nitin Shah and his two brothers, Arun and Milan, started selling jeans there on weekends.
