We were frustrated by the travel options available in the market that forced a choice between design and function. We believe the perfect bag exists at the intersection of these two things so we set out to change the accessories paradigm with Paravel. We created a brand that combines the expert craftsmanship and refined finishes favored by luxury consumers with the performance and function needed by serious travelers. We also recognized that price matters. This is why we chose to sell direct-to-consumer, cutting out the middle-man and the mark-ups that come along with traditional retail so that we can offer an honest price to the modern consumer.
So, how are we so sure that everything we make is adventure-proof? Before we made a single stitch, we spent a year working with artisans, technicians, and material scientists to develop our signature worry-free materials. Cotton canvas isn’t new to the travel game and linen is one of history's most versatile textiles, but we've re-engineered them for modern life (think coffee spills and the overhead bin). Materials in-hand, we knocked on the doors of Italy’s top mills and factories, kept secret for years by the world’s most prestigious (and overpriced) luxury brands. After selling our dream in broken Italian, we were in. All of Paravel’s products are made to last in Florence, Italy at a third-generation family-owned atelier.
Paravel is about getting there better, wherever there may be. Sure, our bags are beautifully made, but life's too busy to be precious about them. Paravel bags are designed to take you to the office or the outback.
