Mow Direct's product range sell well throughout the year. Below is a list of key product areas together with details of the time of year they should be promoted:
Lawnmowers – this product has a seasonal peak in the spring but sells well throughout the year. Up to half of affiliate sales will come from this product category and the majority of them will be outside of the peak spring period so if affiliates limit promotional activities to just the springtime then there is a potential that a number of sales could be missed.
Ride-on mowers – these products sell well throughout the year with the main seasonal peak in the springtime followed by a smaller spike in sales during the autumn.
Agri-Fab attachments for ride-on mowers – these items sell in volume throughout the year and Mowdirect sells more of this product than anyone else in the country.
Garden vacs/blowers – these clear up tools sell especially well in the autumn and early winter and along with garden shredders and leaf sweepers (see below) make up a significant proportion of sales between September and January. The larger sized Billy Goat models (for which there is a banner set available) sell for well over £1000, so there are some excellent commissions to be earnt.
Garden shredders – again these products sell especially well in the autumn/winter period and we are strong in both the volume electric market as well as doing extremely well with the top-end high value petrol machines. Don’t be shy of promoting these products during other parts of the year – they are amongst our most consistent sellers throughout the year.
Brush leaf sweepers – this is a great autumn product and sells in volume between September and December.
Chainsaws – this product sells well during the colder months when they are used for sawing up logs for woodburners and for undertaking timbing work. They do also sell throughout the year, but in lower numbers.
Brushcutters and grass trimmers – these products sell in large numbers during the spring and early part of the summer followed by a smaller spike in sales at the end of the summer / early autumn. They also sell regularly during the other parts of the year but in smaller numbers.
Hedgetrimmers – this product has two peak periods, one in late spring / early summer and another in late summer / early autumn. As with brushcutters, they also sell regularly during the other parts of the year but in smaller numbers.
Cultivators / tillers – during the winter and spring these products sell particularly well and with the average sale around the £400 mark they will earn you a decent commission. Expect to sell in smaller numbers outside of this period, but with high average sale price you can’t afford to ignore them as part of your online marketing activities throughout the year.
Scarifiers – these items sell well throughout the year, with peaks in the spring and autumn.
Commission Structure:
Earn 3% commission for most products sold. Our average product price is £300, an average commission of £12.
Earn 6% on sales of all Jerry Cans.
Earn 3% on all Mountfield products.
Earn 2% for Ride-On Mowers and Lawn/Garden Tractors.The average order value is £2000, with an average commission of £60.
5% on Greenworks products too, the margins are quite low, however this is a premium manufacturer and sells well.
Mow direct does not work with Voucher codes sites.
The program also offers a 90 day cookie and an automated product feed.
