MountainSteals was born out of a desire for more.... and for less: More of the best outdoor products from the top brands for less money. We are outdoor enthusiasts who were frustrated with the current state of online outdoor retail. We'd find a product at a good price only to click through and see it was really full price or only available in weird sizes and colors. Or we'd go to sites that claimed to be all about outdoor deals only to find a bunch of unknown brands of questionable quality.

A while back, a small-but-determined team at Moosejaw, with 60+ years of buying experience and relationships in the outdoor industry decided to create a website Mountain Steals that focuses on people like us – outdoor enthusiasts who want gear, jackets, clothing and footwear that perform to the highest standards, but for less.
