DFDS affiliate program

DFDS has since its foundation in 1866 built a unique infrastructure of ferry routes connecting European countries with each other as well as with Turkey. We mostly transport freight units on the routes in addition to around 5 million passengers in normal years. We also offer logistics services rooted in the regions served by our ferry routes. They range from door-door transports of full-loads to complex solutions for major industrials.

Become a DFDS Affiliate

The DFDS affiliate programme is for websites wishing to promote sea routes from Newcastle - Amsterdam, Dover - Dunkirk/Calais, Newhaven - Dieppe, Oslo - Frederikshavn - Copenhagen, Klaipeda - Kiel, Klaipeda - Karlshamn and Paldiski - Kapellskar. We offer a selection of Ferry Crossings, Mini Cruises, City Breaks, Themed Cruises and Holidays in Northern Europe and the Baltics.

We value the affiliate channel highly, and offer excellent commission rates, incentives throughout the year and keep you up to date with regular, monthly communications.

We provide affiliates with incentives throughout the year, as well as opportunities to work closely with strong performing affiliates to see their earning increase in relation to their promotional efforts. Previous activity has included Double Commission, Trip to the Affiliate Summit in Boston and race day events.

All affiliates on the DFDS programme will be contacted via email a minimum of once per month, detailing the latest creatives, products and offers, plus general affiliate news.

DFDS provide a range of regularly updated banners available in a minimum of five sizes promoting a range of products. These are available as GIF files. Text links and deep linking are also permitted.

- 7% Newcastle - Amsterdam Mini Cruises

- 4% Newcastle - Amsterdam ferry crossing

- 7% Dover - Dunkirk or Calais ferry crossing

- 7% Newhaven - Dieppe ferry crossing

- 7% Klaipeda - Kiel ferry crossing

- 7% Klaipeda - Karlshamn ferry crossing

- 7% Paldiski - Kapellskar ferry crossing

- 7% St Malo - Jersey ferry crossing

- 7% Poole - Jersey ferry crossing

- 7% Portsmouth - Jersey ferry crossing

- Attribution model/ Commission split:

33,33% of the total commission is for the first click (initiator), 33,33% is for assisting clicks (contributors) and 33,33% is for the last click (converter). If there's no assisting click, that part will be divided equally over the first and the last click.

- Deeplinking:

Affiliates are able to deeplink to any page on the DFDS.com domain, except for the booking engine. Visitors who are landing on a specific landing page first, will experience a better user journey

Keyword policy

Affiliates MAY NOT bid on any of DFDS brand terms on their paid activity. Brand bidding can result in affiliates automatically being removed from the programme. If you wish to undertake paid search activity, please negatively broad match DFDS AND DFDS Seaways.

Deduplication and validation

The affiliate cookie will not be set when a visitor is not giving consent to the use of cookies on the DFDS website. In that case affiliate tracking will not be activated.

Affiliate transactions will be disapproved when they are not registered in Google Analytics.

Affiliate transactions will be disapproved when they are deduplicated against online media channels:

- Generic paid search (non branded)

- Paid social

- E-mail

Policies:
